We will be at Berlin Maker Faire 10th and 11th of June 2017: https://maker-faire.de/berlin/

Hi KG12-12
Apr 8 2017
Actually the first step would be to update mediawiki to the latest version which does not seem possible with the current server OS IIRC. So first step is moving the webserver to a new one....
Great, thanks!

But I'm assuming in many cases people will be recording a log encoded HDMI stream, rather than raw data - in which case this would help
In T244#11419, @Bertl wrote:Still doesn't make any sense to me, as there never is any missing data for any channel.
If the main goal is to avoid coloured highlight (i.e. one channel being saturated and thus tinting the bright areas) then there is a simple way which was already suggested several times (only applicable for adjusted live view):
- Select a safe range for all channels (e.g. 0-240 of 255)
- When any channel goes over the limit (240), increase the other channels proportionally till they all meet at 255
Note that this will make any saturated colour white, which might not be the desired outcome, but any guessing has some corner cases.
asked @alex if he could assist.

Great!
Leave the html/layout to me.

Ah yeah I agree, but if manufacturers aren't willing to enter dialogue why should we promote them.
I also have the experience that email contact doesnt work. It doesnt mean they are not interested in dialog all together though. For example establishing contact at faires and trade shows worked like a charm so far.
@sebastian: I suggest I make a first draft with some lenses from web search to see how it works, in the second step we should than create our own lens pictures.
Perfect!
We can simple take pictures ourselves :)
Mar 29 2017
perfect, thats why I wrote "aspect ratio" and not resolution :)
Mar 28 2017
Is it something like this (http://www.ixbt.com/digimage/canonautosonyl.shtml) that you want to implement ??
Mar 27 2017
My very direct and subjective feedback:
Mar 24 2017
Sorry for delay, yes @sebastian this is my GSoC project proposal.
Also see T250 and T557
Mar 23 2017
@mehrikhan36 is this your GSoC project proposal?
Mar 21 2017
Looks quite nice, will keep it unless we find any issues, bugs.
unfortunately http://www.mediawikibootstrapskin.co.uk is only available for money.
Could you take care of this please?
Mar 19 2017
@ Sebastian I think we should then use 4k Instead, Wikipedia says that UltraHd describes 4k and 8k
Mar 18 2017
I've made a typo "CMV1200-0-" I will upload the correct image asap.
Can you upload new source PSD file please
@MichaelH would you be so kind and upload the source files (photoshop?) of the latest designs so Ray can incorporate the stack up in the flyer: https://lab.apertus.org/M11/35/
Mar 16 2017
Herbert had one request: to switch the board design/label to the most recent version: http://vserver.13thfloor.at/Stuff/AXIOM/BETA/axiom_beta_sensor_cmv12000_v0.15_tht.brd
Mar 15 2017
Looks great, text is perfect, if there are no objections I will add it to the frontpage of apertus.org
Mar 11 2017
https://lab.apertus.org/home/ is the same as https://lab.apertus.org but without the left menu sidebar.

You've got to realise I've been through about 10,000 fonts at this point, that's getting exhausting and not much seems to work. As a result I keep coming back to the symbol.
https://fonts.google.com/ has a pretty good selection.
sorry but still not convinced of the greek symbol, bebas neue still has my vote.
I had in mind techniques that could be used for blurring, sharpening, un-sharpening, embossing, etc. I am not sure if any of these are already implemented, but my idea is to develop a common module in Verilog that can accept kernel of any size (e.g, 3*3 or 5*5) and produce the desired effect on image. For example, the user could input a kernel of size 5*5 to produce Gaussian blur.
Mar 9 2017
First, I am wondering if the mentors would be open to the implementation of other techniques (in addition to Sobel Filters) that are useful in film making?
Mar 8 2017
Yeah, there's something about it that's not right. Things in the CI can be changed surely.
Please elaborate what you find off. Sure we can change the CI but only with good reason, after all we had a pro graphics designer draft this up.
We need a new flyer to print very soon and the logo should be on it.
lets clarify that 300 fps is with 10 bit mode: "300 fps (10 bit) @ full resolution."
I would do the text and order the following way (draft):
Mar 7 2017
For me this latest draft just needs some minor fixes and the text written and its ready for the frontpage!
Mar 5 2017
We can simply use the background grain from the website and do the gif without transparency.
love the bubbles to attract attention, the animated gif looks very "blocky/pixelated" (missing antialiasing maybe?) though.
Mar 4 2017
I cleaned up the sidebar of www.apertus.org a bit and removed the donation banner and replaced it with a lab invitation.
Mar 3 2017
ah right, all clear now :)
Please dont forget to fill the required GSoC tasks fields:

Very interesting insight.
Do I assume correctly that you did see the Participate -> AXIOM Lab link on the main website but without context (what the hell could happen in an AXIOM lab?) you did not consider it interesting enough to check out?
@sebastian: I've centred the sensor a bit to the left because of this picture in the wiki: https://wiki.apertus.org/images/9/96/BetaSensorBoardZIF_0.18_1.jpg. You see the sensor doesn't cover the holes equally.
Mar 2 2017
looks excellent but the sensor position is a bit off somehow...
https://www.apertus.org/history still does not cover the alpha .
Mar 1 2017
I'd want to know if we're sticking with 'AXIOM' as it stands
The current AXIOM logo is established and approved, no changes.
Feb 28 2017
not 100% convinced yet, not radical enough :)
very good idea!
In T744#10882, @MichaelH wrote:Im not sure but somebody alerdy mentioned in the IRC that we could possibly have some trouble using greek alphabet. We would do basicaly the same like Sony with their "Alpha".
To the Font question: maybe it would better to decide about our target group First. Do we want something elegant, something "geeky", something clean and simple? What does transport the message of Axiom best? I think this is the main question we should answer first.
In T744#10883, @BAndiT1983 wrote:I've mentioned it, because of Sony. Their cameras are marked wit Alpha, not sure if other letters are used too.

I would also like to add that there is no exclusivity with APIs. We can do PHP, python, nodejs, go and bash, etc. APIs and it will make users and developers the happier the more options there are.
Feb 26 2017
Great to see so many variations and progress here.
That is why I said one has to adjust the weight of the font according to the size
Nice work!
Feb 23 2017
The custom AXIOM typeface seems to be close to this font: https://www.fontyukle.net/en/Litera-Heavy.ttf
