I made a gallery out of em. Don't know how to make them links now...
Sep 11 2015
we have 7 entries so far so it could be 3x2 +1 or all in a row instead of a column?
Should it be more like a grid?
not bad, with a bit of layout fiddling this could work out perfectly fine I think.
Not happy with it, but there you go :D

The photos in each pcbs subsite are great but I actually meant the page https://wiki.apertus.org/index.php/AXIOM_Beta#Printed_Circuit_Boards
Sep 8 2015
:D great!
seems like we can actually leave it like it is...

@getzi "We should make a "get involved"-button somewhere on the landing page. "
absolutely, an invitation direct on the fist contact page would also show that it is an open and transparent project.
direct behind that button there should be an easy to understand explanation of the communication structure and the actual topics i think. this explanation should happen through clear and good design as through words. it should show an overview of the vivid community i think.

Yea, phabricator is not the best in keeping me up to date. If i wouldn't get email notifications i would have no clue what is going on.
Sep 3 2015
@getzi i agree on rethinking the communication out of different user-perspectives. and i like the idea of 'less information as absolutely possible' especially for new comers.
Done.

I'd suggest to use at least five states (not started, started, good progress, almost finished and finished), otherwise most tasks will hang in the "in progress" state for a long time. Note that the "moon phase" concept and the color coding could be used as well.
outdated
eventually published!

Have you considered Magento for the Shop?
We have a lot of customers using it and it works well.
So have we agreed on a certain separation for the website? shop.apertus.org and the rest under one roof?
Allright, let's leave it like that for now.

I am open for suggestions but we know drupal rather well and it works quite well in most areas so finding something that is just "easier" doesn't really convince me yet.
Is it hard to synchronize user accounts between two different backends?
Maybe we should consider a easier system than drupal.
I think its time we take this to the next level :)
I agree with Simon on the separation of the store and just camera details. The product page should be just a showroom for the AXIOMs, as in a introduction to new visitors, interested people and such.
- I agree that the separation of content should be much stronger.
(Have the blog its own page section and only there, not teased on every other page somewhere at the bottom/side, etc. - apply for all other things that are mixed and inserted into other pages somewhere)
I'm with Max. The separation of the website into shop, developers and blog would bring more clarity to the site. The majority of the users would use the shop site, with the camera specs and prices. If they want get more information they can look on the developer site, read the blog or subscribe the newsletter.
The prices, tech specs, availability would be ideally put in the store imho.
Well how much is a SSL certificate?
I would vote for keeping everything under one roof.
yes? no? maybe?

I think the whole website is too crowded. I've heard from several external people they have no clue how to navigate the website.
fixed!
Jul 11 2015
i think it is not a problem. people come to the website to get informations about the project und the first information someone needs is what the project is about. then they will scroll down and find informations about the newest activities.

Great, we will add a few more images and publish later this week,
I did a secondary review and I think it seems fine. The more arty images would also be useful to keep the subject matter approachable, and any seem like good additions to spice up the rather dull material.

perfect!
I fixed the remaining changes within the text, now it just awaits publication :)
mxf:
david jordan just made final fixes to the text, ready to be used now.
I just reviewed it one last time : it's ok for fr-team !
I didn't have access to the gallery though : when I click on the link above,, it tells me "access denied"...
I'm registered on the apertus° website as maxime.fuhrer@gmail.com mxf
Still waiting for final version of the text! Is it done?
Jun 27 2015
Cool, deleted the scaling and padding within the image, it's all good now.
Jun 26 2015
Pls review. Had to scale it a little since the svg has an inner margin.
Jun 25 2015
here is the svg: http://vserver.13thfloor.at/Stuff/AXIOM/GAMMA/GAMMA_design2.svg
Article is not filled yet, I wait till all corrections are done.
lets ask troy to review the image selection when its done as its quite tricky to not have text and images somehow work against each other in this complex matter.
Max can you take care of building the article (native speaker review in progress right now) draft in drupal?

IMHO, if there is no demand, no need to spend time on keeping it up-to-date.
May 10 2015
As so far nobody showed interest and it takes quite an effort to maintain it I did not publish it so far.
Cool page, forgot to comment on this. Is is used somewhere? Might need some update

Didn't seem to matter on the poster, but i reordered them now. Pls check the new folder. In alphabetical order, 870px wide in total, adjusted weight.
but a"p"ertus is not the first in the alphabet
The one i ordered them as well in the latest folder. I figured we keep it consistent ;)
I sorted the logos by alphabet now to make it fairer, do you know which order Nils applied when he did the poster?
Spacing is off unfortunately, I uploaded a folder to /private/Logos/web_pngs/adj_spacing/ with individual spacings between the logos. But it only works in the suggested ranking.
Created this website article template: https://www.apertus.org/node/373
Updated the FTP directory.
I need 5 individual images so I can make them link to the partner websites as described above.
Now on /private/Logos/PartnersLogoBanner.png

If you need 3D rendering of the pcb or components for explanatory purposes, let me know.
Some articles are really helpful, some not, in my opinion.
Lets say that the less it directly relates to the Apertus project, the most unnecessary it becomes. Lets see all articles as tools, for example the blender workflow article is usefull for all of us using blender, and the general information about video creatives or independant films, although really nice articles, are not so crucial.
