@BAndiT1983 As client side looks rather small I would suggest vanilla javascript.

Good idea. Let's wait for @sebastian to create an account I guess. Additionally it seems as if gitlab.com allows the EE feature "repository mirroring": https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/workflow/repository_mirroring.html
What about gitlab-ci? I have an ansible playbook for setup so it would be doable in minutes as long as someone provides a server. We could mirror the github repo and have gitlab as (more or less) transparent tool in the middle.

@anuditverma,
thanks for your application! I just finished looking at it and am looking forward to receive your final application tomorrow.
@BAndiT1983 What's the status of this? Please add a link to the source, thanks!

Thanks for your application draft. I will look at it following week. If you don't hear back from me until April 1st, please ping me.

@anuditverma
No, you don't need to know about django, you only need to know about unit testing. Feel free to consult another resource of your liking.

SHA2017 is around the corner: https://lab.apertus.org/T754
Dear @anuditverma, it's great you want to take a look at the current examples. Just bear in mind that the camera hardware has not been virtualised so far, so you won't be able to get useful replies when running the scripts on your raspberry. The latest firmware is here: http://vserver.13thfloor.at/Stuff/AXIOM/BETA/beta_20170109.dd.xz
@anuditverma, we finished updating this task. If you are still interested, please apply with a timeline proposal until April 3 16:00 UTC. If you have any further question, feel free to ask.

Not necessarily gsoc, see our comments in T757
I will add / edit the gsoc task tomorrow.
This is not a gsoc task but will be done by Andrej
Added by @sebastian:
Beauty of this task is it's modularity. E.g. we could add the fpga bitstreams as binaries in the beginning.

Btw, I root for travis, as we get it for free on github: https://travis-ci.org/

CI definitely sounds like a good plan for this task, +1 from me
@anuditverma, thanks a lot for your detailed answer. I will update this task as soon as we have improved the onboarding process.
We are currently improving the onboarding process (documentation, tools,..) for this task. I am positive we can give more information on monday. Regarding dates and times: Most of our team lives in MET (UTC +1). We will switch to Daylight saving time (UTC+2) on the 26th of March.

All languages mentioned are well tested, providing a rich environment.
This is what I find confusing, alas me recommending the renaming to "AXIOM Beta Webinterface".
Backend language
Dear @all,
after talking with Sebastion today, I would recommend restructuring the task as follow:

I am a big fan of the well established unix way of using software that does one thing really well and nothing more. That's why I am clearly in favour of etherpad-lite. My 2 cents on Kune and Exo: Trying to achieve way too many things at once. If you really want to go down that road, I highly recommend using ownCloud or just phriction. My last experience with ownCloud documents was release 6, now there is release 8. Maybe everything's working fine by now. Phriction is also quite good but does not (and won't?) support multi-user live editing.
Mozilla got rid of Etherpad Plus 3 days ago and migrated everything to etherpad-lite. I'd highly recommend etherpad lite. Want to know more? https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/etherpad-transition-to-etherpad-lite/4529

Oh, now @philippej is mentioning it: Etherpad-lite has become easier to install, I would not recommend (legacy) etherpad / etherpad plus. However, there comes no real user management with etherpad-lite so I guess not an easy decision ...
@sebastian, can confirm. Etherpad installation has become way easier btw. Can do it if you need someone...

Btw, I see the osce days as an opportunity for concentrated work over a period of two days with small brakes. I don't think there will be many people and I don't think it will be like linux days where you need to pay attention to a lot of newcomers.
Alright, flyer finished, see attached. I'd really love to see apertus at osce. I'd be happy to continue this discussion, but we'd need more information of the "production development" ;). Please tell me you thoughts regarding my post above.
