One idea from the ergonomics work-group is to make the HDMI shield wider than the rest of the boards and have the connectors point towards the back of the camera.

Maximum bandwidth from sensor CMV12000 v1 (hey why not CMV12000 v2 with twice the fps :) :) ):
4096 x 3072 x 10-bit x 168 fps ~= 21.2 Gbps
No high speed serial transceiver. Unless increasing clock of LVDS and removing unnecessary LVDS with respect to necessary bandwidth, there is not much to do. Will need Spartan-6 / Artix-7 / Cyclone-IV / Cyclone-V.
On subject of compatibility with existing gear and other hardware, relates to T28: Document existing bolt patterns, specifications, and enclosure attachment points for equipment compatibility.

I would add that typically there are two 3/8s for the addition of standard quick release plates to Ronford / Baker style quick release clasps.
I have seen a tandem before on prosumer (hate that word) plates, but industry plates are universally 3/8s, hence the discussion from yore requesting several around the body for mounting.
One 3/8'' and one 1/4'' would be nice. Is often the case with various mounts.
What about one 3/8" and one 1/4" thread ?
It should be a 3/8 standard coarse thread female, not 1/4 20.
This worries me as it is a pretty easy task that shouldn't be having speculative comments.

You still see measuring tape in many making-off's, but I'd imagine it is often replaced with an electronic "ruler". It is also a fact that (long throw) cine style lenses are equipped with a very accurate distance scale, so this is still important.

My measurements below, all relating to the 1/4-20 UNC mount standard: (bear in mind that I didn't have my caliper at hand, so the measurements may be off by ~0.5mm)

I measured several items with 3/8'' attachments. LedZilla: 6mm socket (when off it's mounting screw!). Jag-35 DSL-plate: 5mm screw. Inexpensive ball-head: 5mm screw.

Testing issue linking: T3: Document the various options we have for enclosures
a very compact design is possible if we allow air to flow thourgh the camera
some people want a sturdier design with lots of mounting points
my personal preference is an aluminum body that is both sturdy and sealed

i guess ... i cant close the task myself, cause otherwise i should also be able to reopen it.
it's weird but probably makes sense, you cannot delete a task here (only on the command line)
please take into account that this topic is strongly bond to the choice of material for the camera case itself.
