Description

Just found "Cerakote":
"Cerakote is a ceramic based finish that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness. Each of these properties is rigorously tested to guarantee that Cerakote products remain at the foreforont of the ceramic coatings market. Cerakote ceramic coatings utilize state-of-the-art technology to out-perform any competitive coating in both laboratory settings and real world applications."

That they are primarily using them for coating guns tells me two things: a) they must be expensive b) I dont want us to be associated with them...

Their coating itself looks nice though: http://www.cerakoteguncoatings.com/gallery/detail/14872/Cerakote-H146-Graphite-Black/

The website lets you order free "swatches", maybe we should check it out?

I also don't like the connection to guns but the coating seems to be very sturdy and resistant and they offer a lot of colors too.
There are two cerakote partners in Vienna (and one is related to cars and not guns :-) ) maybe we can take a look....

Sounds good, do you have a website of the Vienna car partner?

But we definitely need a different video to show the process (if we want to) because it is ill advised to promote weapons in public :)

Best,
