dynamic HDMI overlay text framework
Open, NormalPublic

Description

Create script that utilizes imagemagick (or better alternative?) inside the camera to generate text overlay images dynamically and loads those overlays for HDMI feed.

We could print cameras IP address or status information onto the live HDMI feed for starters.

I'll have to get a grasp of the system context first, but it's definitely something I could write, so I'll tentatively take this on myself :)

Great!

The relevant documentation is here: https://wiki.apertus.org/index.php/AXIOM_Beta/AXIOM_Beta_Software#Overlay_Images

I can help test anything you created on a Beta, Herbert on IRC can help answer software/script/format related questions.
