drupal captcha not effective anymore

Description

we are getting a good number of account registrations a day that origin from spambots but successfully solve the captcha we currently use.

Would the new V2 recaptcha by google be an option: https://support.google.com/recaptcha ?

I'm not sure on what we can do
we could add some text field and ask people why they register and push it to mollom for enhanced analysis

philippe implemented a new captcha

spam accounts dropped to zero so far.
