Description

Do you think of implementing Bluetooth into Axiom?
Well there is a new Crowdfunding campaign for a new controller: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/flow-an-intuitive-precise-wireless-controller

It is open source and Linux based and could be a perfect camera control unit.
Think of just using this small wireless bluetooth device as folow focus, iris and iso controller, start / stop gestures, and even more...
And you could attached it easily to your tripod head or quickly to a handle if shooting handheld.

There would be so many controlling possibilities for the Axiom camera.

Bluetooth is not planned for the AXIOM Beta, but it should be fairly easy to use an USB Bluetooth dongle on the Beta.

Device looks interesting (although I do not see the direct applicability for AXIOM), so we might consider backing the project.

You do not see any possibilities to control an EF Autofocus lens via Bluetooth by that new Flow wireless controller?
I thought it could be done like they used it via USB with the Okii follow focus for some Canon DSLRs ( http://www.okii.net/product_p/fc1.htm)
The difference is all is touch controlled. But I did have the dream to control the focus on active EF-Lenses wirelessly without any additonal focus motors, because we already have the motors inside the lens! I think it is absolutely worth to keep that contoller in mind....

If its the touch controller you are interested in with the flow controller why not use a smartphone instead?

If its the rotary encoder though you are interested in then the AXIOM remote will feature those anyway.
