As this was brought up in T268 I created this separate task.

The idea is to create a set of LUTs/curves that:
a) implement a soft highlight roll-off
b) implement a soft shadow roll-off
c) shifts the neutral 18% ("middle") gray up/down by 0, +1, +2, +3 fstops

This is considered the Alexa way (they didn't invent it but everyone is associating this with their cameras now) of shifting dynamic range towards the highlights/lowlights as the users scene requires.
