Micro hdmi connectors are quite fragile for example. How could the connectors be physically separated from the pcb to allow the use of full size connectors attached to the enclosure? Have it mechanically separated from the pcb's to reduce the strain on the pcb. Use flexible wires to connect the the pcb to the connector.
